Method

To prepare the Syrup: Place every components inside a pan, heat until it reaches a simmer, agitating until the sugar dissolves. After that, turn off the stove allowing it to reach room temperature entirely. Pour to a sealable bottle, close it keeping it in the fridge, it can be stored for up to four weeks.

Preparing the Cocktail Base: Mix all the liquid ingredients in a large bottle, leave to sit for 60 minutes, then filter it best through cheesecloth, to ensure it's fully clarified.

To serve: Add 85ml of the cocktail base into a cocktail shaker packed with ice, and agitate carefully for a minute to cool it down. Strain to a chilled martini glass or similar, top with some cranberries adding the final touch using a quick spritz of mandarin oil over the drink.
